Building Fun with Lego Mindstorms
Kids love to build with their hands. From as soon as they can, they like to grip onto things or put things in their mouth. It is their way of finding out about the world.
No wonder then that children love building with Lego building bricks so much and for older children they can go on to build robots with Lego Mindstorms.
Lego is an ageless, timeless, brilliantly creative concept of a toy for children of all ages. It is manufactured in Denmark and consists of brightly colored interlocking bricks made from plastic with which you can get different mini figures and wheels and other parts that are needed depending on what it is you want to build. You can build a city, a town, a car, a plane and so on. In fact with the success of so many blockbuster films for children you can now get Harry Potter Lego, Star Wars Lego characters, Toy Story 3 Lego characters and many many more. All of these serve to introduce children to creative play and fun. They start to build people and places with all of their Lego pieces.
The only downside to having Lego in your home, (as all parents will vouch for) is that you probably have stepped out of bed and onto a Lego piece, or gone to sit down on a sofa and sat down on a Lego piece. Love them as you do but these Lego bricks can get into every nook and cranny in your home and car.
Apart from wreaking havoc to the tidiness of your home, Lego does its bit to keep your children busy and entertained. They can spend hours assembling objects together and then pulling them apart again and then re-creating them again.
Although Lego was created back in the 1940s it has clearly survived well through the ages and the generations and 70 years on it is still a firm favorite with kids of all ages (parents included).
